We have taken photographs and have scanned many
real insect wings to produce the most authentic
artificial dragonfly and butterfly
products. Every wing produced is durable,
able to withstand direct sunlight without
fading, and moisture resistant. The black and
pink dragonfly wings of the Roseate Skimmer makes
it a popular and colorful dragonfly. Spare
dragonfly wings are also great for people who collect
other insects and butterflies for school projects,
personal entomon collections, and science projects.
In the event that one of your wings gets damaged
or is lost replacing them is easy since they are
removable. Display the wings straight out
or folded in a "V" shape
with the wings bent upright.
In nature when flying
dragonfly wings create turbulence, which
enables dragonflies, like the Roseate Skimmer,
to out-maneuver nearly all other flying creatures.
When the real dragonfly rests while perched
on a plant their wings will at times move slowly
to air out. This type of
movement is what our electronic robotic moving
dragonflies were designed to mimic. Our artificial
dragonfly wings move around 6-7 times a minute,
remarkably similar to a perched real dragonfly
found in nature. |
