Butterflies
in Shades of Exotic
Yellow |
 |
|
| Now you can have
your own butterflies
in shades of exotic
yellow with our unique
collection of framed
butterflies sold
individually! This
color makes certain
butterfly species
stand out considerably
from other Lepidoptera and insects that live
in the same habitat. Certain butterfly species,
like the Dogface (Colias cesonia), Phoebis rurina,
and the Catopsila Argante Phoebis, are a nearly
perfectly pure bright yellow with very little
other colorations. We also
have many other beautiful butterfly species in
a rainbow of different colors throughout our
entire butterfly collection. It may surprise you to learn that butterfly
farming and insect collecting, the way our suppliers
go about their job, actually helps preserve the
Earth's ecology. By allowing rural people
to raise butterflies
they are simultaneously given an incentive
to maintain the rain forests and jungles that butterflies
need to thrive and survive for future generations! |

| Lepidoptera, also known as butterflies,
are known for having beautifully colored
and patterned wings. Red, yellow, black,
and white pigments are mixed to form the
different colors of their scales. Butterflies
with wings that have blue, green, and iridescent
metallic hues usually inhabit regions with
a tropical climate. Most butterflys' wing
undersides match their environment passed
down as genetically based camouflage. Many
conspicuously colored species are very distasteful
to birds, which quickly learn to avoid them
in the future, while other species mimic
these ill-flavored butterflies are protected
by their resemblance alone. One of the most
distinct colors for butterfly wings to be
are shades of exotic yellow. |
