Butterfly
Frames with Real Green Wings |
 |
|
| Almost every hand-crafted butterfly frame has
blue or green wings and are some of the worlds
most beautiful butterflies. Each butterfly item
is mounted in a high quality, black, gold, pine
wood, or imitation mahogany wood frame. Every framed
insect display contains various exotic butterflies
from the Papilio
genus, in the swallowtail butterfly family
Papilionidae, with naturally brilliant colors.
There are a number of well-known
species in this genus such as Papilio Lorquianus
and the Ulysses swallowtail butterfly (Papilio
ulysses). Swallowtail butterflies are easy
to spot in nature since they have a distinctive
tail trailing each of their wings. In addition,
there are also electronic moving Ulysses butterflies
available which have realistic
wing motions, an interesting effect! Each individual
framed display contains an amazing and beautiful
butterfly along with its scientific Latin
name on a printed label beneath each insect. |

| The butterflies used in each frame comes
from insect farms located around the world.
Rural people are learning to raise insects
in rain forests instead of having other industries
permanently deplete those same rain forests.
Insect farming has had a very positive economic
impact on many of the indigenous tribes that
live in rain forests, thus allowing them
to remain in their ancestral homelands and
simultaneously protecting the natural environment
of butterflies for future generations. |
