Cave spiders get their name from the fact that
they are usually found in the total darkness of
places like caves, cellars, and long dark tunnels.
They are not as rare as you may think, but since
they live in total darkness they often go unnoticed.
Spiderlings (baby spiders) are
attracted to light to help them find new breeding
ground before they settle back into dark environments
for the remainder of their adult life.
