The name of the insect below means "Giant
Grasshopper" and it is truly gigantic with
its beautifully colored wings and hind legs fully
spread out. With
such a huge wing span, it is no wonder that this
grasshopper has been felled by the shotgun
of a hunters who mistook them for a flying bird.
