| The Birdwing Butterfly is one of Australia’s
most impressive and beautiful native butterflies,
unfortunately this vibrant green butterfly is under
threat of extinction due to land clearing changes
and the ongoing destruction of rainforests it
inhabits. Typically, the Green Birdwing is found
in tropical forests between Mackay and Cooktown
in NE Queensland, Australia, in the Southern hemisphere.
Without food and natural and rainforest habitats,
Birdwing butterflies cannot breed. Proudly display
