Imbrasia
Belina Wings with Eyespots |
 |
|
| The Anomalous Emperor Moth (Imbrasia Belina)
has orange wings with bold eyespots to protect
them from predators, like birds, in the wild. Birds
may attack a moth's wing damaging it, but sparing
the vital organs of the insect - do to the eyespot
focusing so much attention. Each wing is made of
very durable material and is UV resistant and will
not fade even in direct sunlight. Plus, they are
also moisture resistant - except for the electronic
parts of our butterfly products. On the rare occasion
that a wing becomes damaged due to a playful child
or a curious cat our customers often purchase spare
wings in advance to help them change around their
electronic moving
insect displays with similar or even different
insect wings.
Spare wings for our electronic moths
are very easy to switch and replace on the plastic
bug body. To change the wings, first unplug the
Anomalous Emperor Moth, and any other electronic
moving insects connected to it, then fold the
wing downwards while holding the bug body with
the other hand and then the wing will pop-out from
the grooves that hold it to the bug body. Take
your new wing in one hand and hold the
bug's body with the other and again bend the wing
downwards so that it fits back into the groves.
Once you do this you'll find it very easy to
do again. |
