Orange Belina
Electric
Moth Kit |
 |
|
Every electronic moving Anomalous Emperor Moth
(Imbrasia Belina) Complete Kit is designed to mimic
nature and is so silent it makes no noise whatsoever
making it very realistic! In nature, moth
wings are very salient and, like a butterfly, after
landing will slowly move their wings while they
are resting. The Anomalous Emperor moth is orange
to light brown in color, a members of the Family:
Saturniidae, and possess distinct spots on each
wing which resemble "bulls
eyes" that
mimic "eye spots" which serves to confuse
and otherwise scare potential predators away.
Emperor
/ mopane moth caterpillars are basically an African
silk moth and adults of the "worm" are
considered a delicacy and when they are found in
the Mopane trees they are savored by both birds
and man, and in particular by people in Southern
Africa. Besides Mopane, caterpillars also eat heather,
bramble, sallow and other plants which are found
on heaths. Another similar moth is the Emperor
Moth (Pavonia pavonia), another relative from
the family Saturniidae. Although it is sometimes
placed in the genus Saturnia. Occurring throughout
the Palearctic region, it is the only member of
its family found in the British Isles. The Orange
Belina Electric Moth Kit is the initial moth product
that you will need to get your own collection of
electronic moths started (it
comes with a 110volt transformer). This electronic
moth will make a great gift for your friends and
family, and yes... even that special someone in
your life. Try it out for yourself and see! |
