| When disturbed, a phasmid insect may play possum,
imitating a dead leaf or stick swaying in the breeze.
Usually found in the colors: green and brown,
stick insects may also reveal bright colors under
their wings. This attractive green and pink-winged
stick insect may surprise you. Despite it's delicate
color, it is one of the few stick species with
a pair of methoracic defense glands that lets out
a secretion that has an irritating
