The Urania Moth (also called the Sunset Moth)
is an iridescent moth that's active during the
day, unlike most other moths, and lives in tropical
rainforests. Urania is known as the most colorful
moth probably because it has wings are
blue, gold-green, yellow-cream, and red-orange,
with black bands and spots, and the lower hind
wings have several short tails. These beautifully
colored moths live in Madagascar, an island off
the southeast coast of Africa. Several
other species of moths share their habitat in
Madagascar including the Anomalous Emperor Moth
(Imbrasia Belina) and the African Lunar Moth, Argema
mimosae.
Adding a set of Sunset
Moth spare wings to your order will allow you to
easily change the appearance of your existing display
without having to tear out and re-install your
moth's or butterfly’s
adjustable wire legs and power cord wiring
each time. All
the wings that come with Complete Kits, Add-on
Kits, and Magnet-Wings are interchangeable and
can be replaced for a fresh new look. Wings must
be bent in the "up" position in order
for their wings to automatically move when they
are installed on any Kit. If one or both wings
are flat, the moth will appear to be defective,
but usually it just needs to be popped back into
place. For help with this wing troubleshooting
instructions are located on the back of each package
that your product arrives in. |
